Social Media Policy

How NSB uses athlete content across our social platforms, your rights as an athlete or parent, and how we handle user-generated content.

Effective April 2026  •  National Scouting Bureau

1

Athlete Content Usage

National Scouting Bureau may photograph, video record, and share athlete performance footage captured during NSB events for promotional and educational purposes on our official social media channels.

This includes content from:

  • Individual evaluations and assessment sessions
  • Performance Combines (FlightScope, Zybek, Stalker Pro II events)
  • NSB GameDays and live in-game analytics sessions
  • Fusion Hit-a-Thon events
  • Verified Prospect Program (VPP) activities

Content may be shared across NSB's official channels:

📷 Instagram 💬 Twitter / X 👑 Facebook ▶ YouTube 🎙 TikTok

Consent via registration: Athletes and their parents or guardians provide consent to this content usage upon registering for any NSB event or program. If you have not yet opted out, this policy applies to you.

NSB will make reasonable efforts to feature athletes in a positive, professional, and performance-focused context. We do not sell athlete content to third parties for advertising purposes.

2

Opt-Out Rights

Athletes or parents/guardians may opt out of social media content sharing at any time. To exercise your opt-out right:

  • Submit a written request to NSB before the event takes place, or
  • Submit a written request within 7 days after the event at which the content was captured

Written requests may be sent via email to info@nationalscoutingbureau.com or via the contact form on nationalscoutingbureau.com.

Removal timeline: Existing posts containing your athlete's content will be removed within 30 days of receiving a valid opt-out request. Cached or archived versions on third-party platforms may take additional time to clear based on each platform's own policies.

Opting out of social media content does not affect your participation in NSB events or programs. Your event data reports, recruiting materials, and service deliverables are not affected by a social media opt-out.

3

Minor Athletes

NSB takes special care when featuring athletes under 18 years of age on social media.

  • Parental or guardian consent is required for any social media content featuring athletes under 18
  • NSB will not tag or mention a minor athlete's personal social media accounts without explicit parental or guardian consent
  • Parents or guardians may withdraw consent at any time by submitting a written opt-out request (see Section 2)
  • When posting content featuring minors, NSB will avoid sharing information that could be used to identify or locate a specific minor outside of the scouting context (e.g., home city, school name in the caption without parent approval)

Note for parents: If your athlete is under 18 and you registered on their behalf, your consent at registration covers this policy. You may opt out at any time per Section 2 above.

4

User-Generated Content

When athletes, parents, coaches, or fans share content related to NSB, we may engage with or amplify that content in the following ways:

  • If you tag @NSB official accounts in a post, NSB may reshare or repost that content with proper credit to your account
  • If you use official NSB hashtags, your post may be featured across NSB's social channels
  • If you submit content directly to NSB (e.g., via DM or email for a testimonial), NSB may share that content with your name or handle

NSB will always credit the original poster when resharing user-generated content. If you prefer a reshare or repost be removed, contact us at info@nationalscoutingbureau.com and we will remove it promptly.

By using NSB hashtags or tagging NSB accounts, you grant NSB a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display that content on NSB social channels. This does not affect your ownership of the original content.

5

Scout & Staff Social Media Conduct

NSB scouts and staff members represent the National Scouting Bureau in all public-facing communications, including personal social media accounts when discussing NSB-related topics.

  • Official statements, announcements, and program details regarding NSB athletes, events, or business matters come only from verified NSB official accounts
  • Scouts and staff are encouraged to share positive content about events and athlete development, but should clarify when opinions are their own
  • No NSB team member may share confidential athlete information, evaluation data, or recruiting intelligence on personal social media accounts
  • NSB staff are expected to conduct themselves professionally in all online interactions involving NSB, its athletes, families, or partner organizations

If you see a social media account claiming to represent NSB that appears unofficial or suspicious, please report it to info@nationalscoutingbureau.com.

6

Third-Party Platform Policies

NSB maintains a presence on third-party social media platforms including Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Each platform operates under its own terms of service and privacy practices.

NSB is not responsible for the privacy practices, data collection, or content moderation policies of any third-party social media platform. When you interact with NSB content on these platforms — liking, commenting, sharing, or following — you are also subject to that platform's own terms and policies.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each platform:

NSB makes no warranties or representations regarding the security or handling of your data on these third-party platforms.

7

Data Collected via Social Media

If NSB collects athlete or family information via social media interactions — including direct messages, comments, or inquiry forms hosted on social platforms — that data is handled in accordance with our full Privacy Policy.

Privacy Policy: For full details on how NSB collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information, please review our Privacy Policy.

Information voluntarily shared via social media DMs or comments (such as athlete name, contact details, or performance questions) may be used to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and provide requested information
  • Follow up regarding NSB services, programs, or upcoming events
  • Add you to NSB communications if you have opted in

NSB does not scrape or systematically collect data from public social media profiles without consent.

8

Endorsements & Testimonials

Any athlete or family testimonials shared on NSB's social media channels are from real athletes and families who have participated in NSB programs.

  • Testimonials are shared with the consent of the individual or their parent/guardian
  • Results featured in testimonials reflect the individual's personal experience
  • Individual results vary — NSB makes no guarantee that any specific outcome, placement, scholarship, or result will be achieved by any athlete
  • NSB does not pay athletes or families to provide testimonials; all published testimonials are genuine and unsolicited or voluntarily submitted

If NSB partners with athletes, coaches, or organizations for paid promotional content, such posts will be clearly disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines (e.g., "#ad" or "#sponsored").
